I figured this is a great place to introduce myself. We’ve officially surpassed 59,000 followers (and growing!), and whether you’ve been here since day one or just found the page, I truly appreciate you being here.

My name is Kevin Arnone, and I’ve wanted to be a meteorologist since I was eight years old. That dream became reality after graduating in 2012 from Western Connecticut State University with a B.S. in Meteorology, and no, the B.S. doesn’t stand for what some of you might jokingly think it does .

I began my TV career at WTNH (ABC) in New Haven, Connecticut, where I worked as a weekend meteorologist and weather producer for just under six years. From there, I left my home state and headed south to South Carolina, taking a weekday morning meteorologist position at WIS-TV (NBC), where I spent five years.

Over the years, I’ve covered just about everything, from blizzards, nor’easters, hurricanes, and tornadoes, to a total solar eclipse and the northern lights! Hey, plenty of quiet, sunny days too. While in South Carolina, I was nominated for several Emmy Awards and was fortunate enough to win an Emmy for storm coverage during Hurricane Dorian.

I’ve since stepped away from the TV business, purely my decision. But my passion for weather, now more than 30 years strong, has never gone away. That’s why this page exists. I use it to continue forecasting and sharing weather information without the noise.

What you’ll learn quickly about me:

I take weather forecasting seriously because I know it impacts people’s lives every single day. I share what I’m seeing, explain my thought process, and sometimes just think out loud. No gimmicks, just honest, hype-free accurate weather.

I’m also very responsive, so if you ever have questions, feel free to ask. Just know I’m not some distant voice on a screen or a robot, I’m part of your community too. I’m a human being with a family, three kids, and two dogs, just trying to give you the best forecast I can.
